SEL1 position seek error (error code: 034804)

Cause
  • Initial operation of the selector valve is not possible.
    • The valve cam shaft does not rotate.
    • The valve cam shaft rotates but home position cannot be detected.
Suspected cause
  • Motor failure (Harness disconnected)
  • Motor driver failure/main board failure
  • Encoder failure (Harness disconnected)
  • Faulty assembly or failure of Ink Supply Unit
  • Damage to select cam shaft
  • Home position detector failure (Harness disconnected)

Checking the Ink Supply Unit Part 1
Check that the motor cable is properly connected.

Go to advance check 2

Reconnect the motor cable.

Checking the Ink Supply Unit Part 2
Check that there are no foreign objects in the Ink Supply Unit.

 Go to advance check 3

Remove the foreign object.
Advance check 3

Checking the Ink Supply Unit Part 3
Check that the gears in the Ink Supply Unit are not damaged.

 Go to step 2

Replace the Ink Supply Unit.

Checking operation of the Ink Supply Unit
The Ink Supply Unit is confirmed to be normal by the Failure Verification “3020108 Ink Supply Pump 0”.

 If the error occurred, replace the Main Board Assy.
(If the problem persists, contact Epson local service representatives)

Replace the Ink Supply Unit and run the Failure Verification “3020108 Ink Supply Pump 0” again.
