# CR Timing Belt

1. Remove one screw.

2. Slide the Right SC Cover (A) while pushing the dent (B) of Right SC Cover, and release the three tabs. Remove the Right SC Cover (A).
   
3. Remove one screw.

4. Slide the Left SC Cover (A) while pushing the dent (B) of Left SC Cover, and remove it.
   
5. Remove one screw, and remove the Lower SC Reinforcing Plate (A).

6. Reattach the Lower SC Reinforcing Plate (A) in its portrait orientation, then secure it with the screw.

7. Remove the screw.

8. Open the ADF/SCN Unit (A).
   
9. Open the ADF/SCN Unit (A) and extend the support stand (B) as far as it goes, then support the ADF/SCN Unit with the support stand.

   
   

   Caution / 注意

   Make sure that the support stand (A) is fixed with the two hooks, and the two triangle marks (B) face to each other.

   Check Point / チェックポイント

   When closing the ADF/SCN Unit (A), press the switch (C) on the ADF/SCN support stand (B) and hold up the ADF/SCN Unit to disengage the two hooks, then fold the ADF/SCN support stand.

10. Remove the screw.

11. Release the Hook, then slide the Front Right Cover (A) to direction of arrows and remove it.
    
12. Remove the five screws. (one of them is also securing the panel ground wire)

    There is a place to fasten the grounding wire (B) together when fixing the panel (A).

13. Remove the two FFC clamps (A).
    
14. Release the Panel FFC (A) and the grounding wire (B) from the guide (C).
    
15. Open the Front Cover Assy (A).
    
16. Slide the panel unit  (A) rightward to remove it.

    
    

17. Put the Panel Unit (A) at the rear side of the printer.

    
    

18. Remove the Stacker Assy (A).
    
19. Remove the seven screws, then remove the Front Housing Frame Assy (A).

20. Open the Duplex Print Cover (A).
    
21. Remove the seven screws.

22. Press the Rear Housing Assy (A) in the direction of the arrow, then release the hook.
    
23. Remove the Rear Housing Assy (B) while releasing the place interfering with the Rear ASF Unit (A).
    
24. Release the Cable from two clamps (A).
    
25. Disconnect the cable (C) from connector (B) of Power Supply Unit (A).
    
26. Remove the four screws and then remove the Rear ASF Unit (A).

27. Remove the four screws fastening the Left Housing (A).

28. Remove the two dowels.
    
29. Remove the rib on the front side while lifting up the Left Housing (A).
    
30. Remove the rib on the back side while lifting up the Left Housing (A), release the hook (B) and then remove the Left Housing (A).
    
31. Remove the six screws fastening the Power Supply Unit Mounting Plate (A).

32. Lift up the frame and remove a dowel (A).
    
33. Lift up the Power Supply Unit Mounting Plate (A), turn it in the direction of the arrow, and remove the two ribs (D) while releasing the unit interfering (C) with the Side Frame (B).
    
34. Remove the Power Supply Unit Mounting Plate (A).

    Before tightening the screws, make sure the positioning points are correctly assembled with reference to the figure below. A: Interfering Unit B: Rib C: Dowel

35. Remove the screw fastening the Tube Guide (A).

36. Remove the interfering unit, and retract the Tube Guide (A) to the back side.
    
37. Remove the screw, then remove the PF Brush Assy (A).

38. Remove the two screws, then remove the APG Drive Assy (A).

39. Disconnect the cable (B) from the connector (A) of the sensor.
    
    

    
    

    Assembly / 組み立て

    Align the triangle mark (B) on the left APG cam (A) with the triangle mark (B) on the spur gear 14.4 (D) on the APG Drive Assy  (C). At this point, make sure the mark (F) on the combination gear (E) can be seen through the hole on the APG Drive Assy (C). Insert the pin (G) on the upper paper guide into the groove on the release shaft holder of the APG Drive Assy.

40. Remove the two screws, then remove the Ink Holder Cover (A).

41. At the full side, disengage the Extension Spring (A) from the hook of the frame.

    

    Caution / 注意

    The CR Scale is made of SUS and very fragile. Therefore, take extreme care when handling one. If you disassemble the CR Scale, exchange it for the new CR scale.

42. Remove the CR Scale (A) from the hook of frame.
    
43. At the home side, remove the CR Scale (A) from the hook of the frame.
    

44. Pull out the CR Scale (B) from the slit of the CR Unit  (A).

    

    
    

    Assembly / 組み立て

    Follow the procedure below to install the CR Scale. At the full side, hook the CR Scale (A) on the frame. Hook the Extension Spring (A) on the frame. Route the CR Scale (B) through the slit on the CR unit (A). At the home side, hook the CR Scale (A) on the frame. Check the hook is inserted all the way.

45. Remove the Driven Extension Spring (A) from the hook on the frame, and loosen the tension on the CR Timing Belt (B).
    
46. Remove the CR Timing Belt (B) by sliding the Driven Pulley Holder (A) in the direction of the arrow.
    
47. Remove the Driven Pulley Holder (A) with the Driven Extension Spring (B).
    
48. Remove the screw, then remove the Left PG Cam Screw Holder (A) with the screw.

49. Slide the left PG cam (A) downward.
    
50. Remove the Right PG Torsion Spring (A).
    
51. Remove the screw, then remove the Left Mounting Plate (A).

52. Remove the E-ring (A) and the bush (B), then remove the left PG cam (C) and the parallel pin.

    

    Caution / 注意

    When removing the APG gear, be careful not to touch the PF scale (A). Be careful not to drop the parallel pin.

53. Remove the four screws fastening the Right Housing (A).

54. Release the hook.
    
55. Remove the two dowels.
    
56. Release the four hooks.
    
57. Remove the Right Housing (A) while removing the rib.
    
58. Remove the Right PG Torsion Spring (A).
    
59. Remove the screw, then remove the CR Shaft Spring Mounting Plate (A).

60. Remove the plastic washer (A), then remove the Right APG Cam (B) and the parallel pin (C).
    
61. Remove the screw, then remove the Right PG Cam (A).

62. Remove the E-ring (A) and the two plastic washers (B), then remove the right scale mounting plate (C).
    
63. Remove the seven screws, then remove the Right Bearing Mounting Plate (A).

64. Remove the two screws, then remove the CR Guide Frame (A).

65. Remove the screw, then remove the USB Host Assy (A).

66. Remove the two screw, then remove the CR Motor Assy (A).

67. Remove the E-ring (A).
    
68. Lift the CR Scale Mounting Plate (A), then remove the CR shaft (B).

    
    

    Assembly / 組み立て

    When installing the CR Scale Mounting Plate (A), set the shaft (C) of the CR Scale Mounting Plate into the hole (B) of the frame, and fix it with the E-ring.

69. Pull out the CR shaft (A) from the printer, them remove the CR Unit (with CR Shaft) (B).
    
70. Remove the CR Timing Belt (B) from the CR Unit (A).
