# Paper Jam Sensor

1. Remove one screw.

2. Slide the Right SC Cover (A) while pushing the dent (B) of Right SC Cover, and release the three tabs. Remove the Right SC Cover (A).
   
3. Remove one screw.

4. Slide the Left SC Cover (A) while pushing the dent (B) of Left SC Cover, and remove it.
   
5. Remove one screw, and remove the Lower SC Reinforcing Plate (A).

6. Reattach the Lower SC Reinforcing Plate (A) in its portrait orientation, then secure it with the screw.

7. Remove the screw.

8. Open the ADF/SCN Unit (A).
   
9. Open the ADF/SCN Unit (A) and extend the support stand (B) as far as it goes, then support the ADF/SCN Unit with the support stand.

   
   

   Caution / 注意

   Make sure that the support stand (A) is fixed with the two hooks, and the two triangle marks (B) face to each other.

   When closing the ADF/SCN Unit (A), press the switch (C) on the ADF/SCN support stand (B) and hold up the ADF/SCN Unit to disengage the two hooks, then fold the ADF/SCN support stand.

10. Release the ADF/SCN cable (A) from the hooks of the Relay Harness Cover (B).
    
11. Release the two relay cables (B) from the clamp (A).
    
12. Release the three relay cables (B) from the hooks of the Relay Harness Cover (A).
    
13. Remove two screws, and remove the Relay Harness Cover (A).

14. Disconnect the five relay cables (A) from the PCB Mechanism Relay Board.
    
15. Release the three hooks (B) of the lumirror (A) covering the cable holder (C) and open the lumirror (A).

    
    

16. Remove the cables from the connectors (CN11, CN15, CN16, CN44, CN42) of the PCB Mechanism Relay Board (A).
    
17. Release the cables from the Cable Holder (A).
    
18. Release the cable from the clamp (A).
    
19. Remove the ADF/SCN cable (A) from the connectors (CN103 (with hooks), CN104) of the Main Board.
    
20. Remove the screw, then remove the SCN ground cable (A).

21. Remove the cables from the connectors (CN8, CN9, CN14, CN19 (with hooks)) of the PCB Mechanism Relay Board.
    
22. Release the cable from the two clamps (A).
    
23. Release the cable from the three clamps (A).
    
24. Remove the cable/FFC from all connectors of the PCB Mechanism Relay Board (A).
    
25. Remove the screw, then remove the grounding wire (A).

26. Remove the three screws, then remove the PCB Mechanism Relay Board (with Mounting Plate) (A).

27. Open the Duplex Print Cover (A).
    
28. Remove the seven screws.

29. Press the Rear Housing Assy (A) in the direction of the arrow, then release the hook.
    
30. Remove the Rear Housing Assy (B) while releasing the place interfering with the Rear ASF Unit (A).
    
31. Open the Duplex Print Cover (A).

    
    

32. Remove the Duplex Print Assy (A).
    
33. Remove the two screws, then remove the Mounting Plate Assy (A).

34. Disconnect the two cables (A, CN41) from the connectors.
    
35. Remove one screw, then release the Grounding Wire (A).

36. Release the Grounding Wire (C) and Cable (B) from the clamp (A).
    
37. Remove the two screws and then remove the Rear ASF Unit (A).

38. Release the Cable from two clamps (A).
    
39. Disconnect the cable (C) from connector (B) of Power Supply Unit (A).
    
40. Remove the four screws and then remove the Rear ASF Unit (A).

41. Remove the four screws fastening the Left Housing (A).

42. Remove the two dowels.
    
43. Remove the rib on the front side while lifting up the Left Housing (A).
    
44. Remove the rib on the back side while lifting up the Left Housing (A), release the hook (B) and then remove the Left Housing (A).
    
45. Remove the six screws fastening the Power Supply Unit Mounting Plate (A).

46. Lift up the frame and remove a dowel (A).
    
47. Lift up the Power Supply Unit Mounting Plate (A), turn it in the direction of the arrow, and remove the two ribs (D) while releasing the unit interfering (C) with the Side Frame (B).
    
48. Remove the Power Supply Unit Mounting Plate (A).

    
    

    Assembly / 組み立て

    Before tightening the screws, make sure the positioning points are correctly assembled with reference to the figure below. A: Interfering Unit B: Rib C: Dowel

49. Remove the screw fastening the Tube Guide (A).

50. Remove the interfering unit, and retract the Tube Guide (A) to the back side.
    
51. Remove the screw, then remove the PF Brush Assy (A).

52. Remove the two screws, then remove the APG Drive Assy (A).

53. Disconnect the cable (B) from the connector (A) of the sensor.
    
    

    
    

    Assembly / 組み立て

    Align the triangle mark (B) on the left APG cam (A) with the triangle mark (B) on the spur gear 14.4 (D) on the APG Drive Assy  (C). At this point, make sure the mark (F) on the combination gear (E) can be seen through the hole on the APG Drive Assy (C). Insert the pin (G) on the upper paper guide into the groove on the release shaft holder of the APG Drive Assy.

54. Remove the APG Motor Cable (B) from the Relay Connector (A) and free it from the clamp (C).
    
55. Release the APG Encoder Cable (B) from the clamp (A).
    
56. Remove the two screws fastening the APG Motor Assy (A).

57. Pull the APG Motor Assy (A) slowly to the front by releasing the hook, remove the cable (B) from the connector (C) of the APG Encoder and remove the APG Motor Assy.

    

    Caution / 注意

    The APG Encoder Cable (B) is routed to the inside of the printer, so that be careful not to pull strongly on the APG Motor Assy (A).

58. Release the relay cable (B) and Intermediate Release Solenoid Cable (C) from the cable holder (A).
    
59. Release the cable (B) from the two clamps (A).
    
60. Remove the four screws, and then remove the Uway Drive Assy (A).

    Check Point / チェックポイント

    When removing the screw (B), use a stubby screwdriver whose total length is 40 mm or shorter.

61. Release the cables (B) from the Cable Holder (A).
    
62. Release the cable (B) from the clamp (A).
    
63. Remove one screw, then release the Grounding Wire (A).

64. Remove the three screws and remove the Intermediate Release Solenoid (A).

    Assembly / 組み立て

    Insert the plunger (A) into the hole on the Intermediate Release Solenoid (B).

    Check Point / チェックポイント

    When replacing the Intermediate Release Solenoid (A), replace the plunger (B) too simultaneously.

65. Remove the spring (B) from the plunger (A).
    
66. Pull out the shaft (B) from the plunger (A), then remove the plunger (A).
    
67. Remove the four screws, then remove the Front Duplex Paper Guide Assy (B) from the Pump Mounting Plate Assy (A).

68. Disengage the four hooks and remove the Paper Jam Sensor (A).
    
69. Disconnect the cables (B) from the connector (A).
